Our Values

At the Bloomington Brewing Company, we make the finest quality craft beer by using the best ingredients and adhering to meticulous brewing and cleaning processes. We value our long-time customer base, who have been supporting BBC for over 28 years. We strive to preserve our flagship beers while also creating new, innovative brews. BBC is committed to giving back to our community and helping to cultivate the creativity and comradery that is craft beer. We listen to our customers and we are deeply seeded not only in the Bloomington community but also in the greater beer community at large. BBC is a small, locally owned operation. There is no corporate office here, if you stop by the brewery, you’ll meet an owner, and you’ll see a small hardworking team of 4. Our community, great beer, and preserving the history that is Bloomington Brewing Company are the core of our values.

Beer With Character

Our beers are full of what nature chooses to create (with a little help from our brewers) through its Single Celled Fermentation Agents: Yeast. Yeast, plus the best malted barleys, hop flowers, and filtered water from the limestone aquifers of Southern Indiana, comprise our primary ingredients.

We don’t take shortcuts. And we don’t filter our beers. Filters strip beer of complexity and flavor but are used often to push beer to market quickly. Ales with complexity, richness of flavor, and appearance are best achieved through exacting attention to detail, premium ingredients, and time. At BBC, We Are Craft.
